Volunteer Opportunities
Are you interested in being a part of a compassionate team that supports moms and babies at The Elizabeth House? We invite you to consider how your passions, time and talents align with what’s happening at The Elizabeth House.
Current Needs
House Mom
Come volunteer one weekday (preferably Monday or Wednesday) from 10:30 to 2:30 as a “House Mom”.
House Moms are available to talk with the women who live in the maternity house as well as teach some skills or do an activity with a mom.
Some examples of the kinds of things you may do during a typical day:
• Refill laundry detergent supplies
• Rotate food in the pantry
• Organize or stock our care market
• Teach a mom or two how to bake a pie or decorate cookies
• Make an appetizer together with a mom or two
• Straighten the play room and/or sanitize surfaces
• Put up seasonal decorations
• Share the love of Christ by being present, open, approachable and encouraging
